We are delighted to announce on Tuesday 5th December 2017 Fir Tree Primary School and Nursery was awarded the SAPERE Bronze Award for outstanding commitment and progress in philosophy for children (P4C). Children from Years 1 - 6 take part in weekly P4C enquiries where they ask open and philosophical questions. They are able to give reasons and make simple connections. Children can recognise and have started to talk about big ideas/concepts in their discussions. Well done Fir Tree!
