We are looking to recruit an outstanding Class Teacher to lead English across the school.  .  This post will not be suitable for a job share position. We are looking to appoint someone who:

 

  • Is an outstanding classroom practitioner
  • Can demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for English
  • Has the ability to lead and develop English across the school
  • Can excite and enthuse staff and children in their chosen subject
  • Has high expectations of pupils’ behaviour and learning
  • Will make a positive contribution to our school community

Teaching Assistant

We are seeking to appoint a highly-motivated person to join our team at Fir Tree School. Fir Tree is part of the Newbury Academy Trust and benefits from links that we have with both Trinity and Speenhamland School. The role will involve working as part of the class to support the teacher with pupils’ progress and development, working collaboratively or in small groups and on occasions one-to-one.

 

The ability to build good working relationships with pupils and staff is key to the role, as well a willingness to learn and be flexible. A good general level of education is essential and this role may well appeal to people who are considering going into teaching as a career. You may be required to cover ½ hour Lunch time slot.
