This is an excellent opportunity to join Fir Tree Primary School and Nursery, a primary school within the Newbury Academy Trust. We are seeking to appoint and support an enthusiastic and dedicated individual, who wants to work with children and young people, as a Teaching Assistant.

School Crossing Patrol
Salary: Grade B2 ~ £22,366 fte
Actual Salary: £2,550 per annum
Term-Time Only / 5 hours per week Monday to Friday (30 minutes at either end of the school day)

The successful candidate will be required to ensure the safe passage of children crossing the road at specified times at the start and end of the school day, supervising the designated safe crossing location.
Applicants should have an understanding of road use and traffic awareness, as they will be controlling and directing traffic at the crossing point for the purpose of a safer route for children on their journey to and from school.
The successful candidate will be required to attend training prior to the post start date in September, to include specific School Crossing Patrol training and safeguarding training. Uniform and equipment will be provided.
